Pink

I never liked pink as a child. Actually it wasn’t that I disliked pink, it’s just a colour I never noticed. I think I was expected to because it’s considered a “feminine colour” and I was a girl. I was a tomboy. I loved hanging out and playing with my three brothers. Now that I am an adult, I really appreciate it’s tones.  It’s a colour that stands out in a landscape. It’s a colour that stands out in sweets. It’s the colour of bubble gum. It almost feels artificial but at the same time I feel there is something quite honest about the colour pink. I found out an interesting fact about pink. Pink is thought to have a calming effect. One shade known as "drunk-tank pink" is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates.
