I love to take my camera out with me, almost everywhere. I can always find something interesting to shoot or to capture. I collect images. I am obsessed with it. I think in images. It’s much easier for me to communicate that way than with words. When I capture an image, a story emerges. It might not be in that moment but over time, over some contemplation and reflection. An image is usually the starting point for a story. Photography and video inform my filmmaking. It’s my way of still being able to be creative, to still explore and experiment with the language of film. Making feature films takes time. It takes money and it takes people. This way I get to fulfill my creative juices and expand my imagination.
